Curious if functional testing is right for you? Let’s explore it together.

Functional Testing

Root-cause clarity for deeper healing

Functional testing allows us to move beyond surface-level symptoms and explore the “why” beneath how you feel. These tests offer insight into your body’s internal terrain—illuminating patterns related to digestion, detoxification, hormonal health, stress resilience, and even mood regulation.

This work is ideal if you’re experiencing:

  • Chronic fatigue, burnout, or brain fog

  • Anxiety, depression, or mood swings

  • Irregular cycles, PMS, or PCOS

  • Bloating, constipation, or gut issues

  • Difficulty managing stress or recovering from illness

  • Inflammation, skin conditions, or “mystery symptoms”

What We Can Explore Together

HTMA (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis)

Reveals your mineral status and heavy metal load. A powerful tool for understanding nervous system function, adrenal health, and your metabolic type.

GI MAP (Comprehensive Stool Test)

Assesses the microbiome, digestion, pathogens, parasites, and immune responses in the gut. Particularly useful for bloating, IBS, anxiety, and skin issues.

DUTCH Hormone Testing

Offers a full picture of sex hormones and cortisol rhythm. Helps clarify issues like PMS, hormonal acne, fertility challenges, perimenopause, and HPA-axis dysregulation.

Blood Chemistry Analysis (Functional Lens)

Using conventional labs with functional reference ranges, we explore trends related to blood sugar, thyroid, inflammation, liver, and nutrient status.

Supplemental Testing Options

For deeper or more targeted support, we may also incorporate:

MTHFR + Genetic SNP Testing - Assesses your body’s ability to methylate—an essential process for detox, neurotransmitter health, and mood. This is especially relevant for clients with a history of anxiety, depression, or chronic fatigue.

OAT (Organic Acids Test) - A comprehensive urine test that offers insight into neurotransmitter balance, mitochondrial function, nutrient deficiencies, candida or bacterial overgrowth, and detox pathways. Often helpful in mental health cases where traditional approaches haven't resolved the root cause.

Micronutrient or Omega-3 Testing - Evaluates nutritional deficiencies that may contribute to low mood, irritability, energy crashes, or poor concentration.

Mental Health Meets Physiology

Testing can be especially helpful for clients experiencing:

  • Persistent anxiety or depression despite therapy

  • Mood fluctuations linked to cycle or blood sugar patterns

  • Postpartum depletion

  • Panic or brain fog with no clear origin

  • Histamine or methylation-related symptoms

Functional testing offers a bridge between emotional healing and physiological support—so your mental health care can be as whole and personalized as you are.

How It Works

  • We begin with a comprehensive intake session to identify your goals, symptoms, and history

  • I’ll recommend the testing that best matches your needs (testing is always optional)

  • Once results are in, we meet to review your results and build a personalized protocol for nutrition, nervous system support, and healing

  • Ongoing integration happens through sessions, containers, and between-session guidance
